I am still trying to get in
Submitted by Guest Reader on Fri, 07/28/2017 - 13:33Joyce,
I do not know why it is so difficult to get in here. I used my old email address and there was no way you would accept it. All I got was conflicting information: that the address was not valid or someone already has that address.
Are you back?
Submitted by Starla Anne on Thu, 11/13/2014 - 00:34Are you back? Really back? Can I start writing again?
One of the writers on Fictioneer is deceased
Submitted by Starla Anne on Thu, 03/22/2012 - 20:40Larry Welch, who had written some short stories on Fictioneer, passed away on February 16, 2012. I think his family want his stories to remain on Fictioneer as a memorial to him. They have asked me to copy them for his daughter to keep in his memory. Love, Starla Anne Lowry
My goal
Submitted by Tumisimo on Mon, 02/20/2012 - 09:17When I was a little boy I wanted to be a writer. I have read a lot of books written by Jack London. Martin Iden was the the most favorite. In my dreams I was courageous explorer! This explorer suppose to write a big story about his life and adventures. I wanted to visit Alaska and North of Canada and feel all this atmosphere!
miss posting...?
Submitted by PattieBFine on Mon, 01/02/2012 - 19:44Yor has a series that is posted as mine?
New name
Submitted by Iatia on Sat, 10/08/2011 - 18:48I want to close my account and reopen it in another name. How do I do this?
Source Code
Submitted by Nick B on Mon, 08/22/2011 - 09:56From the moment I read the synopsis on IMDB, I was intrigued. It was a premise that whilst not unheard of, it had enough differences to make me feel as if this was a new concept and although it's hard to give a review without giving some of the game away, I will only tell you as much about the plot as the trailer, so it won't ruin it for you.
Sorry!
Submitted by Wolverina Were-... on Sun, 07/03/2011 - 19:24I'm still working out the plot of Spirit Splinters, Part Six, so until I figure out what's going to happen next the new chapter will have to wait. Don't worry, though-- it may not be that long after all. Thanks for reading!
Discourged, but still around
Submitted by Starla Anne on Wed, 04/20/2011 - 12:57I have found a new word processor and am not having the problems I had before (or at least not at the present). I have added a new short chapter to "Pairie's Children, Back to the West". I have been discourged because nothing was going right, but hopefully everything is straighten out now.
An Intro
Submitted by Keth Cavanugh on Thu, 03/03/2011 - 10:20So I finally took the plunge to join. I have no idea how often I'll post, or what stories I'll put up as most of my writing is taken up by writing stories for the RPG I'm a part of.
Amanda's Eyes, Chapter 17 posted
Submitted by woody on Mon, 01/10/2011 - 16:08Amanda finds some friends, Ken does an over the top halloween display and we see Kelly starting to understand what she's done.
Enjoy!
Am I doing it wrong?
Submitted by Wren on Thu, 12/30/2010 - 20:52I posted "Side Affects" this morning, and I wonder what I did wrong. It seems to only work in a very wide window, unlike anything I have ever posted. Is my story too long? Did I enter it incorrectly? I need to know before I post the next chapter. Help!!
Thanks,
Wren
Happy Thanksgiving everyone

New help here on Fictioneer
Submitted by Nick B on Tue, 08/31/2010 - 07:42Hi folks.
I just wanted to let you all know that as from now, I shall be helping Joyce with the running of this site, as she is stretched a bit thin and doesn't have the time she would like to devote to the site.
So if you have an issue, rather than PM-ing her, drop me a line and I'll try and sort it out for you.
Thanks chaps and chapesses,
Nick
Desperately need advice on story
Submitted by Starla Anne on Mon, 08/23/2010 - 22:39The pastor in Chapter 2 of "Pairie's Children -- Return to the West" is based on an actual person in Birmingham, Alabama. What is written about him is not considered extreme. He was a kind minister, always stopping on the street to pray with someone (has even stopped fights that way) and would actually give the clothes off his back to some needy person.
Amanda's Eyes - Chapter 15 posted
Submitted by woody on Tue, 08/03/2010 - 17:29This is a short one but I wanted to let people know that I'm still working on the story. This feels like an interlude between major happenings to me. Let me know what you think. As always, comments and corrections appreciated.
Up
Submitted by Nick B on Wed, 07/07/2010 - 06:48Carl Fredrickson (Ed Asner - Lou Grant and more cartoon voices than you can shake a stick at) has fostered a dream and at seventy-eight years of age, is finally going to realise that dream.
I'm new here and I have a question
Submitted by Hope Eternal Reigns on Thu, 06/24/2010 - 16:36Hi All,
This may sound rather silly BUT, Why can I not access my "My Inbox"? When I click on it a message pops up saying I do not have access to this function - or some such foolishness.
with love,
Hope
I need to read my own stories
Submitted by Starla Anne on Wed, 06/16/2010 - 20:24I had to change chapter two of "Prairie's Children, Home in Alabama". Ruth was converted to Christianity in the original "Prairie's Children", so she doesn't need to get saved twice. So, I do need to read my own stories.
Avatar
Submitted by Nick B on Fri, 05/28/2010 - 10:34I'd heard about this film for ages and due to my long legs and complete dislike of cinemas and their rip-off prices, I eagerly waited for it to come out on DVD.
It was truly worth the wait too.
Publishing houses
Submitted by Starla Anne on Sun, 05/23/2010 - 20:34I have noticed a few ads on the right side of the Fictioneer site about publishing our work.
Farscape
Submitted by Nick B on Thu, 05/13/2010 - 03:37Astronaut John Crichton (Ben Browder--Stargate SG1, A Kiss before Dying) piloting "Farscape 1" space vessel, is swallowed by a wormhole and hurled millions if not billions of light-years from home into deep space, right in the middle of an intergalactic battle, whereupon, he collides with an alien vessel.
The Men Who Stare At Goats
Submitted by Nick B on Tue, 04/27/2010 - 04:24I'd seen the trailers.
Ewan McGregor and George Clooney as they hit the only rock in a desert full of sand.
I thought the preview was hilarious, but was it just the favourite trick of many film makers as they show you the best bits in the trailers and the rest of the film is only there to stop those prize pieces from bashing into one another?
Isn't that what they did with 'The Breakup' with Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston? That was truly crappy.
Well, yes that was what they did in The Breakup, but not in this case.
Amanda's Eyes - Chapter 14 posted
Submitted by woody on Sat, 04/03/2010 - 12:04As always, sorry it took so long but I'm not a fast writer or editor and RL is pretty demanding. Appreciate comments and suggestions and promise not to take criticisms and corrections personally.
Planet 51
Submitted by Nick B on Tue, 03/23/2010 - 05:10Imagine a world that is locked in the fifties; white picket fences and a dread fear of being overrun by monstrous aliens hell-bent on eating the brains of the inhabitants - but is not our own.
Forbidden Kingdom
Submitted by Nick B on Fri, 03/05/2010 - 05:23The only film I know of that has Jackie Chan and Jet Li working together and this is brilliant.
Dollhouse
Submitted by Nick B on Thu, 02/18/2010 - 10:01After Buffy, Angel and Firefly, I had Josh Whedon on my list of top ten writers and then I saw an article with Eliza Dushku, who played Faith, one of the other slayers then turned up in Tru Calling. This time she'd basically twisted Josh's arm into writing something specifically for her and even stumped up money (presumably) to produce the show.
