Posting a story

Simply: How?

All I can seem to manage is making it into a toopic in the Writing Forum

I can't access my inbox

I can't access my inbox either, it just says i dont have permission...

Accessing pages

When you get that error, it usually means either your cookie or your session as saved in the server has become corrupt. Logout, force a page reload (usually hold down shift or ctrl depending on browser and hit the reload button) then log back in. This usually clears it.

If your ISP is serving you a bad page, (very rare even for AOL), it might take an hour or so to clear up.

AHA! It works now! I've turned my laptop off since posting, and it all works now. =D

Right, time to see what this place has to offer...

(The forums don't seem very active, do they?)

Okay, I've just uploaded the

Okay, I've just uploaded the Prologue to one of my stories, but nothing comes up... This is too confusing for me..

Being the idiot...

Being the idiot, I found the solution after I had the problem solved. You said elsewhere that you had to approve memberships. That sounds like what happened to me.

Do you have to approve each chapter too?

Nope

You post chapters as you will. I usually do the organizing of chapters into linked books. I just upgraded your account to author so now you can edit after posting. And you have an entry in the author list, too.

I don't make some of this stuff automatic in order to avoid problems with spammers.

Suggestion..

So all my problems haven't been problems?

They've been routine that I've overlooked?

Can I make a suggestion? Do a thread about what happens after you sign up, so that no other moron like me falls into the same trap of being impatient?

Post a story?

How do I post a story? I guess this is supposed to be obvious, but that never helps me.

Not completely automated

You can't post a story until I've promoted you to full Member, after that. Use the +Story link in the menubar above.

Once you've posted a story, I'll upgrade your account to author and even more features will be available.
